Rooster Scherenschnitte

$600.00 USD

Scherenschnitte is German for "cuts in paper" and is the traditional decorative design work practiced in the U.S. by Germanic immigrants, primarily in Pennsylvania.

This scherenschnitte, black on tan, features two roosters below a heart shaped cartouche in a finely cut central looking glass form and flanked by bush-like sentinels.  It is a simple design and well executed, measuring 8 1/2" wide and 12 1/2" tall (7" by 11" sight).

It is framed under glass in a simple black frame that appears to be original.

An estimated $25 is included in the price to cover packing, shipping and insurance.
