About Us

As you browse through our product offering you will see that our focus is on early Furniture and Accessories in paint, Americana, and Folk Art, with specific emphasis on Weather Vanes, Whirligigs and Trade Signs.

We have been living with antiques most of our lives and have developed a great appreciation of, and love for, vernacular furniture and household accessories, and carved and decorated folk art.  My early love of wooden tools has grown into an avocation of period furniture making using period tools.  Armed with some new skills in furniture restoration and conservation my attention is now focused on good restoration of the furniture for our business.

I am a 5 time attendee of "Working Wood in the 18th Century" at Colonial Williamsburg, a member of the Society of American Period Furniture Makers and the Midwest Tool Collectors Association.  Recent educational programs include Furniture Conservation and Wood Identification, both with Fallon and Wilkinson and "Paint, Patterns and People- Furniture of Southeastern Pennsylvania" at Winterthur.

So, armed with our love of antiques, a lifetime of collecting experience, a good eye for authentic antiques, training in period furniture design and construction and lots and lots of research, we are in a great position to help you find that perfect piece for your home or collection.
